Mold Cavity:
The mold cavity is one of the most important elements in injection molding and has a huge impact on the structural design of the molded part which must be impeccable for the manufacturing process to proceed as stated in the project. Process flow:
Drawing analysis and process planning | Carefully analyze the design drawings of the mold core to clarify the shape, size, material, and technical requirements of the mold core. |
According to the drawings and the overall structure of the mold, a detailed processing process plan is formulated, including the sequence of processing processes, types of tools used, cutting parameters, machining allowances, etc. | |
Material preparation and pretreatment | Choose mold core materials that meet the requirements, such as mold steel, alloy steel, etc. |
Pretreatment of materials, such as forging, annealing, etc., to improve the structure and properties of the materials. | |
Rough machining | Use large tools and high cutting speeds for rough machining to remove most of the allowance and form the basic shape of the mold core. |
During the rough machining process, attention should be paid to keeping the tool sharp and the cutting parameters reasonable to avoid tool wear and workpiece deformation. | |
Semi-finishing | On the basis of rough machining, semi-finishing is performed to further remove the allowance so that the shape and size of the mold core are close to the design requirements. |
During semi-finishing, tools and cutting parameters with higher precision should be selected to ensure processing quality. | |
Finishing | High-precision tools and cutting parameters are used to finish the mold core to achieve the dimensional accuracy and surface quality required by the design. |
During the finishing process, special attention should be paid to tool wear and the adjustment of cutting parameters to avoid overcutting or undercutting. | |
Electrical discharge machining (if necessary) | For parts with complex shapes or difficult to reach by cutting, electric discharge machining (EDM) can be used. |

Polishing and grinding | Polish and grind the surface of the mold core to remove processing marks and burrs and improve surface quality. |

According to the test results and acceptance standards, the mold core will be inspected and an acceptance report will be issued. | |
Rust prevention and packaging | Carry out anti-rust treatment on qualified mold cores, such as applying anti-rust oil, spraying anti-rust paint, etc. |
